A trapiche is a milling wheel with spokes, used to process sugar cane. In the mineral world, the spokes of the wheel are inclusions in between the mineral growth. Emerald is the green variety of the mineral beryl, composed of beryllium aluminum silicate. Pure beryl is colorless, however, inclusions within the mineral cause beryl to form in a variety of colors.
