Stilbite
Stilbite is a hydrous calcium aluminum silicate mineral that belongs to the zeolite group, a family of minerals that typically form from volcanic rocks and are known for their ability to absorb and release water. Stilbite’s most distinctive feature is its tabular crystals, often forming in radiating clusters or fan-shaped aggregates. It can range in color from peach, pink, white, yellowish, to colorless varieties, but its soft, pearly sheen remains constant. Stilbite was named in 1797 by Jean Claude de la Métherie from the Greek word στιλβη "stilbein", to glitter or shine, or "stilbe", a mirror, alluding to its pearly or vitreous luster.

It is commonly found as part of zeolite deposits, which form when volcanic ash and other mineral-rich materials undergo hydrothermal alteration.
