If you have been needing an extra boost, the energy from this New Moon in Aries and Spring Equinox (Ostara) is going to have you feeling energized and ready for a beautiful time of growth, rebirth, and new beginnings. Portals are opening, creating a potent energy vortex for manifesting your deepest desires.
The Sun is entering into the sign of Aries, the first month of the astrological year. This is a beautiful time to set intentions and goals, basically what you have been trained to do in January with the Gregorian calendar. Spring brings new life and rebirth in nature. It is the perfect time to harness this power and create positive changes in your life and the world.
During this new moon, reflect on what it is you wish to create. This is a time to be bold, take risks, and make your dreams happen. Trust yourself and your intuition on what path to take. Sometimes the fuel of Aries fire gives us excess energy, so you'll want to burn off that energy! Practice yoga, go on a run or use it for fuel on a project. This is also a great time to spring clean and organize your home! A clean, clutter free space attracts chi energy and brings good luck!

Ritual:
For this new moon, I highly recommend to begin with an energy cleansing of your entire home to clear any stagnant energy. Next, you will want to cleanse your personal energy. I don't always practice all of these energy cleansing methods together, but I have a lot of energy I've been needing to clear from the past year. I began with burning Palo Santo and cleansed my entire body with it, including feet, hands and back (don't skip these areas), followed by a salt bath.
Now, you are ready to begin your ritual. On a piece of loose paper, you are going to write all the things you wish to leave behind as we are entering into the new year. This can be trauma, drama, experiences, relationships, habits, beliefs, anything that is no longer serving you. Next you will be going outside with a fireproof bowl to burn your paper. Light your paper with intention to release all that is no longer serving you into the Universe. As you watch the flames grow and the paper disappear, visualize everything that has been holding you back disappear into the sky.
After the fire dies, spend some time journaling on how you feel. You may also feel called to practice divination, meditate and/or pick a crystal to hold while practicing the mantras I have shared above. Spend as much time as you need soaking in this powerful and healing energy. Releasing the old will make room for many beautiful new blessings awaiting you this year.
