Axinite

Axinite is a group of borosilicate minerals, typically composed of the elements aluminum, calcium, and iron. The Axinite group includes several species, such as Ferroaxinite, Magnesioaxinite, Manganaxinite, and Tinzenite, with their names reflecting the dominant metal in their chemical structure. Axinite is recognized for its unique crystal habit, which often appears as wedge-shaped or blade-like crystals. Its crystals may exhibit a high degree of pleochroism, where the mineral appears to change color when viewed from different angles.
