It has a beautiful Larimar-like appearance when polished but is a beautiful salmon-pink color due to trace amounts of iron. This variety of Natrolite is highly collectible due to its beautiful appearance and healing properties.

Natrolite is a tectosilicate mineral species belonging to the zeolite group. It is a hydrated sodium and aluminium silicate. Natrolite was named in 1803 by Martin H. Klaproth from the Greek word natron, meaning "soda" (due to its sodium content) and lithos meaning "stone." Natrolite is sometimes referred to as needle stone because of its acicular crystal habit (fragile, slender, needle-like crystals). Some Natrolite specimens fluoresce orange to yellow under ultraviolet light. Natrolite is found all over the globe with notable deposits in Russia, India, Indonesia, the United States and Canada.
