Nephrite Jade belongs to the Amphibole mineral supergroup, a fibrous variety of the tremolite–actinolite series. Actinolite is not considered rare in the vast mineral kingdom; it is commonly found in metamorphic rocks, particularly those that have undergone contact or regional metamorphism.
